Law & Disorder 4: Equipped to steal?

Here is an additional situation to analyse and discuss.

Once more, what do you think about the interaction between police and suspect in terms of how they communicate with each other?

Do you agree that the suspect appears to be "equipped to steal"?

Do you think anything good can come out of this kind of arrest?

  2. Once again i think that the cops do this arrest properly. I think that its good that the suspected man is honest about his past and stays calm while trying to explain himself to the cops. But at the same time i think that the suspects past affects him for the worse since he said he used to do drugs and that makes him more suspected of commiting a crime, not to be pre-judgemental or whatever, but people who do drugs usually does whatever it takes to get money to buy more drugs. So therefor he is in the riskzon of being really suspected and thats probably why the cops arrested him, for that and for the tools he had in his bag. Since he doesn't have a proper reason to have the tools in his bag in the first place and because of his past he probably is a person who steals even if he did not have anything on him this time. The good that can come out of this arrest is perhaps that the suspect wont go around carring those tools, for whatever reason he had to have them and also that he will try to stay out of trouble to not get involved with the police again. And if the case was that he had the tools on him to steal he won't risk doing it!
